I wanted something more natural for cutting boards that were going to have food on them. This hasn't added any smell or taste to my food, and the cut marks on my boards aren't drying out and becoming worse like damaged wood.Wash the board soon after use so it isn't crusty and harder to clean. Never soak them. Immediately dry thoroughly with a towel so the water can't damage the wood. Reapply as you see needed.
Cost was more than I wanted to pay but the result is as hoped. The combination of oil and wax leave a beautiful lasting finish on my butcher block
This is the best cutting board oil. There is no weird smell and absorbs well.
Easy to rejuvenate all of our wood cutting boards and utensils. One and done.
I've been using this on several wood items around my kitchen, including cutting boards, wooden spoons, a serving board, and a small charcuterie board, and I'm pretty happy with the results overall. The biggest thing that stood out to me is how easy it is to apply. The gel consistency is much nicer to work with than straight oils that run everywhere or hard waxes that take a lot of effort to buff in. You just scoop a little out, rub it in with a cloth, let it sit, and wipe off the excess. That's really it. No mess, no fuss.Having the wax and oil combined in one product is also a genuine time saver. I used to do a separate oil treatment and then a wax coat, so being able to do both in one step is a nice convenience. The finish looks clean, and the wood feels well-conditioned after each treatment.Knocking one star off because a single application didn't go as far as I expected on larger boards, so you'll want to be a little generous with it. But for the ease of use and the all-in-one formula, it's still a solid product I'd recommend to anyone who wants to keep their wood kitchen items in good shape without a lot of effort.
