Highly recommend especially for large butcher blocks. Most effective when left to sit for 24 hours before buffing. A little goes a long way. I just keep using the same applicator so it’s saturated with the oil and wax. Recommend you wear gloves when applying.
Using on my oxo wood utensils and bamboo cutting boards. I paint it on with a pastry brush and let it sit overnight, the wipe off excess. My boards all look hydrated and clean off much easier when washing. The utensils seem to take more product to achieve a seal because they are a beech wood.
We used this to finish our birch kitchen countertops in January 2026. One coat rubbed in, over a coat of the same brand of walnut oil, worked well. It does need to be reapplied periodically. Probably every month at first, whenever the wood seems a little dry. You will need to be vigilant for water spots, but eventually, the beeswax gets into the wood and it has better protection. We had plenty left over. Nontoxic. Does not smell. Easy to apply. This photo is after applying a bit more in April 2026.
Easy to apply, works like it should, brings “old looking” wood utensils and cutting boards back to life! No smell, either!I was going to make my own spoon butter, but this is ready to go and works great!
Easy and pleasant to apply looks great well worth a bit more for a superior finish.
